Exploratory Program in Mandarin Chinese

I am working as an administrative intern for the Voorheesville Central School District. One of the initiatives for the district is to begin an exploratory program in Mandarin Chinese and we are looking for candidates to teach the program. The course would be one to two days a week from about 2:30pm-3:30pm. Our hope is to begin the class sometime in February and run until June. Class materials will be chosen as a joint-effort between the teacher and school administration. At the moment we are not seeking teacher certification as it is an exploratory after-school program. Certification, however, would be a bonus should there be a move in the future to make Mandarin Chinese a formal part of the curriculum. If you know of anyone who might be interested or have any contacts that can help us find interested candidates, please me at jyoung@vcsdk12.org.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you. Have a nice day!
