CCC Annual Hiking Trip on 10/4/03, Saturday
The mountain :Sleeping Beauty Mountain, Southern Adirondacks (about 1 ˝ hour driving from Clifton Park)
The trail: The 6.8-mile trail has switchbacks to ease the ascent up to the summit where there are great views from the open ledges. On the return you’ll pass small Bumps Pond and take a detour to circle remote Fishbrook Pond which is especially picturesque. The approximate hiking time is 4 hours.

Meeting Place:
Parking lot of Price Chopper at the Clifton Park Shoppers World, Route 146 & Park Road. Take Northway 87, Exit 9. The shopping plaza (Kmart and Hollywood Video are also located in the plaza) is across from the Clifton Park Center. We will meet to pass out directions and make carpool arrangement.

What to bring:
layered clothing (will be very cool at peak), hat, backpack (Each person should have his/her own.), water bottle, lunch, snacks, camera, binoculars, a small plastic bag (to bring garbage back), and a large black trash bag (to serve as a poncho if it rains).
There will be an optional dinner after the hike at Dragon Buffet next to the Price Chopper.

Children under 6 are not encouraged for this hiking trip.
Walk in groups, never alone.
Leave only your footprints on the mountain. Bring your garbage back in a plastic bag.
