35rd annual Festival of Nations (10/29/2006)

Festival of Nations The 33rd annual Festival of Nations will be celebrated on Sunday, October 29, 2006, from 12 noon to 6 pm, at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center. The purpose of this event is to create an awareness and appreciation for the culture heritage of people from diverse national origins and to promote understanding, fellowship and cooperation among many ethnic groups in the Capital District.
CCC will once again play a big role in this event. We are involved in organizing, parade of nations/groups, entertainment, food and crafts, and Miss Festival of Nations pageant.

Here ia how CCC members can participate and benefit from this event:

Buying Tickets: Buy advanced tickets at discount price (Adults $3 from CCC (contact Anping Liu); Children (4-12) $1.

Display: Display Chinese culture with Chinese food and performance.

Volunteer: Be a volunteer to collect admission tickets or work at the food/art-crafts booth.

Miss Festival of Nations pageant: Participate if you are 14-18 years old.

Ad in the program book: Be a sponsor and /or place an ad to promote your personal business.
