Founded in 1995, FCA supports pre- and post-adoptive families in the greater
Albany, New York area. FCA's goals include providing socialization
opportunities, cultural activities and information to waiting families.

IAF was established in upstate New York in 1983. Members reside in Albany,
Columbia, Essex, Fulton, Greene, Herkimer, Montgomery, Rensselaer,
Saratoga, Schenectady, and warren counties in New York State and in other
states.
IAF is a
mutual support group for internationally adoptive
families, including, to some extent, domestic
adoptions. We sponsor or co-sponsor a variety of
cultural events, social functions, and educational
events on: parenting, transracial/transcultural
parenting, adoption issues, birth country visiting,
etc. We also participate in various community events
to make people aware of adoptive families.

Incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1998, AFC is an
all-volunteer group, open to all who have an interest in adoption.
AFC provide information and support to adoptive families and to those
hoping to build a family through adoption.
