Congratulate the Election of 2009-2010 CCC Officers!
President : Lining He was born in 1977 in Shannxi Province and was partially raised in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in China. After completing an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan, China, he studied economics at McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. After graduation in 2007, Lining has been working as an economist in the energy sector. Since arrival to the Capital Region in 2003, Lining and his wife, Jing Lei, have been actively participating in the Chinese school and other CCC activities and events. Lining previously also served on the Board and the executive team as a comptroller between 2005 and 2006.
Vice President : David Yun Dai is an associate professor of Educational Psychology and Methodology at University at Albany, State University of New York. He received his doctoral degree from Purdue University, and worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the National Research Center on the Gifted and Talented, University of Connecticut. He also holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from East China Normal University. He teaches courses pertaining to instruction, learning, motivation, and cognition, and conducts research in the fields of educational psychology and gifted education. Dr. Dai was a Fulbright scholar to China during 2008-2009. He was a former vice principal of Chinese School, currently serves as a member of School Council and a CCC board member.
Vice President : Min Huang was raised in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China. He received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in engineering mechanics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, and a doctoral degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Princeton University. After graduation, he worked as a lecturer and research associate for Princeton University and a research engineer for Texas Instruments Incorporated. Since 2007, Min has been working as a mechanical engineer for General Electric Global Research Center in Capital region. Min’s wife, Jinzhe Feng, works for the Bank of America and serves as a teacher in CCC Chinese School. They have two sons, Michael and Andrew.
Vice President : James Zhaohui Yang was born in Guangzhou , China . He graduated from Nanjing University and State University of New York at Albany with MS degree on Computer Science. He is now working as Lead Software Engineer consultant of BlueSlate Solution at Albany. Zhaohui with his wife Hua Wang have been studying, working and living at capital district over 8 years. Zhaohui and Hua have been actively participating in CCC activities and events and other local activities. His family enjoys and is benefited from the friendly environment at CCC and their neighborhoods. He will appreciate the cherish opportunity to be part of the team to serve our community to make it better, prettier and more prosperous.
Vice President : Ting Yu was born in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China, in 1979. After he completed his Bachelor and Master degrees from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2000 and 2002, he came to U.S. to pursue his doctorate degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. Upon graduation in 2006, he moved to the capital region of New York, and started his career with General Electric Global Research Center as a research scientist. After arriving the Albany area, Ting has been participating into many different social, cultural and recreational activities held and sponsored by CCC, and he is right now the President of Young Professional Club, a subsidiary club under CCC. Ting enjoys and cherishes the moments and opportunities of serving our local community.
Secretary : Xiaowu Jiang was born in Shaoyang, Hunan. She got her Bachelor degree from University of Science and Technology of China, her Master degree from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry. Then she came to US and joined the chemistry department of University of Chicago and received her Ph.D degree in organic chemistry. She worked as a postdoc at the University of Notre Dame before she moved to the Capital Region. Xiaowu joined AMRI as a senior research scientist in June, 2006. Outside of the work, she likes to travel and enjoys sports. When staying at home, she likes to cook and watch movies. She is honored to have this opportunity to serve our Chinese community.
Secretary : Renge Li was born in Xingning, Guangdong Province in 1980. He received his B.S. degree in Applied Mechanics and Engineering from Zhongshan University and received M.S. degree in Engineering Mechanics from Tsinghua University in 2005. He is in his fourth year to pursue a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After arrival to the Capital Region in 2005, Renge and his wife, Yanli Ma, have been actively participating in the Chinese school and other CCC activities and events. Renge often served as volunteer for the CCC activities and Yanli have been served as a program director for the CCC Chinese School since 2008. Renge is looking forward to having this opportunity to continue serving our Chinese community.
Secretary : Jing “Roger” Cao was born in 1981 and raised in Changde, Hunan Province. He received a B.S. degree in economics from Xiangtan University and a M.S. degree in economics from University of Oregon. After graduation, he worked as a market quality analyst for Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) for two years. Since 2009, Roger has been working as a price validation analyst for New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) in the Capital region. Roger cherishes the opportunity to serve and is looking forward to making contribution as well as friends through CCC events and activities..
